So today, it’s all about Swiss chard. How many of you have eaten this before? I actually have not had this very much in my lifetime. I actually never ate it growing up, because I avoided all greens, if possible. But you see all of these colors. See, look at the reds, the orange yellows, just a hint of purple. The veins are red, the leaves are green. And this is a powerhouse. This is like a superfood in its own category. I would almost put this up there with kale.
Health benefits of chard begins with vitamin K, all of our green leafy vegetables are going to give us vitamin K. That is a natural way that God designed for your bloodstream to always be flowing perfectly to not clot to not be too thin like blood thinners do but to not clot as well. So this is a perfect vegetable,
It’s always going to be more of an adaptogen in your body, it’s going to bring your body back to the normal state that it should be in versus what medications do is throw us into the other category.
Now we also have lots of vitamins A vitamin C, we got minerals, manganese, potassium, potassium keeps you well-hydrated is what I want to say you’re not going to get dehydrated, it’s going to help with your blood pressure because we have to have a normal state of water balance and electrolyte balance. And this shard is going to help you do that. And you know, I am all about fiber.
So this is another fiber boost in your diet. So if you’re trying to lose weight, or you’re trying to just get a healthy digestive system back again, you can think clearly you need fiber in your diet. So shard is a perfect example of a food that’s going to do that for you.
